For Parents

SoundArts meets once a week on Wednesday afternoons from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Students should come to class prepared with script, pencil, and extra water. A light snack is provided. During class we vocally warm-up, sing, act, dance, sing solos, all in preparation for our upcoming production.

Scripts and music are created with the curriculum as well as the student in mind. The Fall/Winter musical is usually a multicultural celebration of the season. The Spring session is longer which allows the curriculum of the musical to be studied in detail.

All students work together and support each other as a team. Student may be required to study outside of class in order to be fully prepared. Additional time is offered if needed.

SoundArts relies on its parent volunteers to help during performances. Please email Laurie Draper if you’d like to volunteer.
